Klay Preschool : Are you considering preschool for your

Toddler?

Bill Gates quoted “The first five years have so much to do with how the next 80 turn out to be.”

And out of these, it is the first 3 years of a child’s life when their brain grows the most. So the explorations and learnings within 3 years are what matters the most. In the early years, it is the environment that plays a crucial role in a child’s development. The genetics, right stimuli, experiences, Psychosocial experiences, are the factors that shape a healthy brain and a child’s behaviour.

As per CDC, Children grow and learn best in a safe environment where they are protected from neglect and from extreme or chronic stress with plenty of opportunities to play and explore.

Having known this fact, I had been a very picky Mom for Arham’s Preschool. It ought to be a place where at every step he could “learn and explore” (don’t mistake me, I never intended bookish learning but preferred ample chances of experiential learning, for the better wiring of neurons).

A day at Klay School, Gurgaon

Recently, I had a chance to spend a day at Klay Prep School and Day care at their Gurgaon, Malibu Town Centre. And I need to accept that right from the amenities, to the care, hygiene and warmth, Klay Schools, proves what they believe in “Kids Learning and You”, they act as a perfect #parentingpartner.

The goal of early childhood education should be to activate a child’s own natural desire to learn ~Maria Montessori. It is the time when children are taught “How to Think” and not what to think. And thus as a parent, we need to consider many factors while choosing a Preschool. 

Why should a parent opt for KLAY preschool?

You must know the reasons, why as a mom, I rated KLAY prep school really high on my scale.

1. Vibrant Campus :

Schools are where our kids spent a lot of their time. The way the campus is build emanates the real vibes. KLAY’s Gurgaon premise was spacious, vibrant, with every corner and step, enabled in a way or the other to help a child enhance their learning skills. Can you really ensure a toddler sitting at one place and getting enriched? Not at all, right. Kids are free to explore the age appropriate books and toys basis their interests. Most kids learn as they explore the surroundings. And there lies the importance of how a Preschool campus is designed.

2. Safety :

A very important parameter, we as parents need to consider is Safety. And it was good to understand that child safety is the top most priority of KLAY Schools. Their centres have all “All female staff” which is police verified.

Not just this, Parents have access to live CCTV feeds of their children. I visited more than 10 preschools for my son, and in none could I see Safety pads on doors. But, I was amazed to see such small safety measures as well at KLAY. They have safety pads on corners of door and locks so that a child’s finger doesn’t hurt (even if by any chance), it comes in between.

With soft paddings, Live Camera feeds, all female staff, Monitored dispersal system, it looks that kids are simply free to enjoy their nascent experiences beautifully.

3. Learning Methodology :

It is really important as a parent to understand the preschool’s education methodology and curriculum.

We had a chance to interact with their leadership team. Klay schools have adopted Dr. Howard Gardner’s (who is a Harvard psychologist) theory of Multiple intelligences. It proposed that one cannot measure the Intelligence of a child just basis the IQ. There are 8 Intelligence levels, as Visual, linguistic, logical, Kinesthetic, Musical, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Naturalistic. Different kids have different intelligence levels and strengths associated with each. Every child has different interests, and as an educator, this is what you need do, observe and help a child grow and learn the skillsets.

4. Educators :

I still remember my mom saying, more than a school, it is a teacher which creates a remarkable difference in the personality of a growing child. What I saw at KLAY seems to prove it. The teachers were full of love, warmth and enthusiasm for the little kids. Nowhere did I saw even a child being neglected of any warmth. KLAY has succeeded in fostering an excellent culture. Their teachers are trained regularly at their In-house Institute wrt new implementation’s and feedbacks and how to understand their kids psychologically.

5. Open Culture :

Being parents, we’re always looking out for ways to discuss our toddler’s development with teachers, senior educators. And that’s the ease of KLAY Schools.  Not just parents have the access of Live CCTV feed, they can also reach out to the teachers to speak up their hearts.The classroom walls are transparent, which gives a sense of safety too.

6. Hygiene and Food :

Yes moms, they have maintained 100% hygiene in their premises, believe me blindly here. They have their Quality teams for a thorough check-up of all Internal hygiene. Right from cleaning of the toys to the toddler hygiene, their premises are what you would love. Well, where were they, when I was a toddler:)

Further, they’ve respected a parent’s wish too. You have the option to opt from their nutritious meal for kids or you can even send home cooked food. It was a time to be proud of their approach of healthy food cooked in interesting ways to build up strong healthy individuals.

7. Day Care facility :

Well, I would say, KLAY Prep Schools and day care is a home close to home. They support mom’s to return back to their work, and that too, guilt-free. Yes mama, you’ll love the way your lil bundle of joy is groomed while you are nurturing your career trajectory. The extended facility starts from 8am to 7:30pm and You have the flexibility to opt basis your office timings.

Be ensured, your baby is growing in the most affable environment.

No, doubt they are a “No franchisee chain”, & every centre of their 125+ schools across India is managed by their own Management. A work brilliantly done.
