I remember that lazy Sunday, which turned out to be a spine-chilling soon, as the news channels started flashing the Nabha Jailbreak, in Patiala. Being in Delhi, it gave me the terror-waves to hear the escape of six Jail inmates, of which two were the terrorists and four were gangsters. It wasn’t long back, and I’m sure many of us would remember that alarming 2016 morning. 

And when this true yet bold story comes on the screen, with some shocking revelations, it is certainly bound to be classified as one of the most awaited movie. Well, I’m talking about an Upcoming ZEE5 Original Movie, “Operation Parindey”, all set to release on March 7th, 2020. It is a fast-paced action-thriller, directed by the Dhoom franchise director and inspired by the true events of the most controversial Jailbreaks in the history of India.

Nabha City of Punjab:

Nabha is a royal historical city in the Patiala district in Punjab. It was one of the princely states during the British Raj, which can be portrayed with lots of buildings with historical importance. It also has many famous Hindu temples, Hira Mahal (Residence of Royal family) and a fort. Nabha Central Jail is the most High-Security prison of Punjab and the escape of Jail inmates that morning came as a shock to the whole country.

After the surgical strikes, Pakistan was looking to divert the world’s attention and it was assumed that Pakistan’s ISI was connecting with Pro-Khalistan groups and militants. Punjab Elections were right at the corner and it was a perfect time for Pakistan to execute their plans. The jailbreak was planned meticulously, something that was taken off-guard by the Prison authorities. The daring Prison break and escaping of the terrorists and gangsters happened in just 12 minutes, such that not even a single bullet could be fired to counter the attackers.
