Planning for a workout?
Are you a fitness freak? Even if you aren’t one, I’m sure we all have workouts build in our daily lives in one form or another. Be it cycling or Dancing or Exercising or Aerobics or Gymming, some form of physical activity is a necessity for a healthy lifestyle. And if you’re not engaging, then it’s a high time that you opt for any activity or bundle them for at least 30 minutes a day. When it comes to workout, we need to prepare and have all the essentials in the bag. Rather than sweating it out later, why not complete the preparatory work?
Here goes a checklist for Workout Essentials for a woman :
1. ActiveWear :
The clothes you wear make a great impact on your exercising and your overall feel. Quit those loose, sweaty fabrics. Get your hands on a comfortable, well-fitted pair of leggings and Tee/Tank tops, which allows proper movements. Overly tight clothing can restrict your movements, hence opt for a perfect fit. We will sweat, and that’s why we are working out, right? So choose breathable well-fitted fabrics that wick the sweat away. You can go for Odour free soft fabrics which help you keep fresh even while you’re sweating. 2. Shoes :
As you are working out, right shoe is a must to give you comfort, and prevent any injuries. Have a look at the shape of your foot, as a type of footwear might change basis the arch of the feet. People with flat foot could need extra padding or support while workout. While Cross trainers are great for Gym and similar exercises, you would need extra cushioned trail runners for your trail running days.

3. Water and Energy Bars :
Many days would be when you are required to head for office directly after gymming. After exercising, we need sufficient protein-rich nutrition for the muscle and energy recovery. What better than keeping energy bars in the bag? They’ll be perfect fuel for your body.
Any form of exercising releases a lot of sweat, which means that our body loses lots of water. We need to replenish the water and stay hydrated. Within every 30 minutes of a workout, you should drink water or fruit infused water. The crux is don’t let your body dehydrate!

4. Deodorant :
If you choose a proper activewear, your sweat issues will be taken care off. But still, you can carry light fragrance Deo in your bag.
5. Wipes / Hand sanitizer :
Wipes are a “No miss” while exercising or gymming or going for an outdoor workout. It’s a basic courtesy to wipe the sweat before and after using the equipment. Washing hands is honestly not very handy in the mid of workout sessions. Wet wipes (Try for water-based or Organic wipes) and Hand sanitisers are perfect choices to keep self-fresh and clean.
6. Headphones :
Well, listening to good music is always a mood elevator. Carry your headphones along with your mobile. Keep the playlist ready which would keep you focussed and motivated.
Though these are absolute essentials for my workout bag, I also keep my facewash and dry shampoo handy. These gruelling sessions always trigger an urge in me to keep my face clean of all the oil and dirt. While water wipes are the quickest fix, after the completion of the workout, I prefer a proper clean up with the herbal facewash. And dry shampoo often helps me, if I have to make a quick transition.
